April 2002.
David Sweet spoke about his painting practice. Melissa Martin gave a performance-talk about her work process and Pippa Koszerek discussed a work in progress.

June 2002
Henry Cumberlidge discussed his RED gallery exhibition. Michael Branthwaite launched a Rocket outside the gallery as an experiment for and example of a work in progress.

August 2002
Norbert Schliewe gave a demonstration of The Light Illusion Machine, an invention by scientist Paul Nipkow (1884) which was the precursor to television. Schliewe, who is the first person to build this machine uses it as part of an ongoing performance investigation. Espen Jensen read out his script I think its gonna rain which he had given to four different artists and filmmakers to interpret in their own manner. One interpretation by Philip Barnes called The man who got stuck can be listened too on the Illegal Media web radio site.
A small discussion also took place led by a lecturer at Hull School of Art on the potential axing of the Fine Art course in Hull.

November 2002
Bob Levene discussed her RED gallery exhibition.

December 2002
Pippa Koszerek and Espen Jensen spoke about the artist-run centre Artoll Labor in North-West Germany and about the art work they had made there during a two-month residency.

January 2003. RED gallery curators Anthony Housman, Kate Linton and Martyn Edwards discussed their work showing in the RED gallery group show Co-ordinated.

February 2003.
Argentinean Artist Esteban Pastorino talked about his large scale photographic works and the art and political climates in Argentina. Gisele Bone ran through a slide show of aspects of her home and memories which influence/become her artwork.

March 2003
Stuart Bradshaw spoke about his Paintings currently exhibition at RED and read out a text. Sabine Bieli discussed the influences and dualisms in nature that are manifested in her site-specific textile works.
This seminar was included as part of the 54°N Festival programme. Both artists had works exhibited in the festival.

May 2003
Pete McPartlan spoke about his installation at RED, which was a new step for him in relation to the generative sound works/music that he makes. Andrew Quinn spoke about his art practice.

June 2003.
Birmingham-based Reuben Henry talked about his installation at RED. Pat Phippard discussed issues related to her participation in Outside Edge.

August 2003
Discussion on whether there is a need for a purpose-built studio space in Hull and around what the main concerns for artists in Hull were. Discussion was led by Jayne Jones and Helen Parrott who are working on a feasability study for a studio initiative named Flatpack.

November 2003
Opposites Dis-Tract: Seminar

Three of Hull's creative minds, each from a different artistic discipline, have been invited to critically discuss works shown throughout the Humber Mouth Festival. This open seminar encourages cross-disciplinary discussions by setting each critic the task of considering works in a different field from their own.

Held as part of the Humber Mouth Literature Festival.

Invited Critics: Catherine Litchfield (Director, Hull Film), Lee Tsang (Conductor and Lecturer in Music at Hull University) and David Wheatley (Poet and Lecturer in Creative Writing at Hull University).

Response: Seminar

Elaine Kordys discussed her installation Not about dreaming with artist and musician Paul Burwell giving a critical response to the work.

Espen Jensen will made an intuitive and improvised sound performance reacting to the installation.
