To develop and explore on a personal level, an action-based art practice / philosophy for negotiating life in the 21st Century.
My primary objective in the development of this practice is to send out a series of empowering messages about freedom of choice. In particular - the relationship between personal choice and quality of life. Implicit in this philosophy of choices, is the challenge to explore and be guided by intuitive morality and ecological imperatives.
The development and exploration of this practice is centred around experimentation with lifestyle. These live-art experiments may either be chosen rationally or derived intuitively. Each experiment arises from a desire to explore the following question - "How can I improve my life and what is it that would make me happier?" In this practice it is strongly suggested that ecological responsibility is irrevocably linked to real happiness.
These experiments may raise questions about various conventions of modern life and some may involve defiant steps outside of these conventions.
The overall principle of this practice is to present life itself as an opportunity for the effortful but enriching explorations of the refining principles of alchemy.
