Sheringham.

Sheringham is a traditional seaside town that originally grew on the crab fishing trade, which still goes on. The town is a mixture of Victorian and Edwardian houses and fishermen's cottages. It has a variety of shops, galleries and boutiques and an interesting town clock. Sheringham is a reasonably quiet resort with clean golden sandy beaches and rock pools at low tide.

Outdoor market Wednesday and Saturday.
Museum Local history museum in fishermen's cottages.
North Norfolk Steam Railway The old station has been restored and is now a museum and shop. Refreshments are offered in the buffet car and there is a restored signal box to view. Trains run to Holt via Weyborne, with views of the beautiful countryside and coastline.

(National Trust).The Park was designed by Humphrey Repton (landscape gardener) in 1812. There are spectacular woodland walks, especially when the Rhododendrons - there is an important collection - are in bloom. There is also a 'handkerchief tree'.There are great views of the coast and viewing towers give views across tree tops.
Access is either via Upper Sheringham or the N.T. Car Park off the A 148.
