November 2001

Thank goodness F&M seems to be gradually receding into the background, however we kept up the disinfection of all vehicles until the end of the month.
This autumn has been one of the best I can remember with the Autumn colours lasting for weeks and the grass still growing, even in November.

Broccoli still being cut early in the month, unfortunately it was over a few weeks early because of the fine, warm, open Autumn, however we continue to cut some together with a few other vegetables for our local customers.

Last month we discovered 2 Barn Owls roosting in their nesting tree again, I think they must have been there all summer without us spotting them!

After all the effort of planting 2 meter field margins round most of our fields I think it is finally beginning to pay off. We have a covey of English (grey) Partridges back here again, a wonderful sight, and, I hope, the start of the return of this wonderful bird to our farm.
