Our Holiday Villa

Booking Terms and Conditions

Every attempt has been made to use clear and concise language in these Booking Terms and Conditions; if any terminology has been used which is not fully understood, please contact the villa owners for clarification before signing and submitting the booking form.

VILLA BOOKINGS:

Bookings are valid only after:

- the booking form has been completed, signed and received by the villa owners.

- the appropriate deposit has been paid.

- the booking has been confirmed in writing by the villa owners to the guest(s).

- the person who signs the Booking Form certifies that he or she is authorised to agree the Booking Terms and Conditions on behalf of all persons included on the Booking Form, including those substituted or added at a later date.  The signatory must be a member of the party occupying the property and must be 21 years or over.  Bookings cannot be accepted from parties of young people under 21 years of age.

PAYMENT TERMS:

- a booking confirmation deposit of £100/US$150 for each week or part week booked (maximum £200/US$300 per booking) must accompany all bookings - this is non-refundable and deducted from the final balance due. 

- the final balance (villa rental less the booking confirmation deposit) must be paid eight weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday.

- at the time the final balance is paid a security deposit of £100/US$150 is also due.  The security deposit will be returned 21 days after the completion of the holiday subject to all keys being returned and the villa owners’ Management Company reporting no damage or loss (see below).

CANCELLATION:

If guests wish to cancel the booking they should advise the villa owners immediately by telephone followed by confirmatory letter. The villa owners shall be entitled to retain all payments already made (except the security deposit) and to recover, if not already paid, the balance of the hiring charge as follows

- 31 to 60 days notice: 50% of the rental charge

- up to 30 days notice: 100% of the rental charge.

In the unlikely event that circumstances beyond the villa owners’ control necessitate the cancellation of the rental arrangement, the villa owners reserve the right to cancel any booking at any time and will only be liable to refund monies already paid by guests.

GUESTS AGREE:

- to pay the full cost of any breakages, losses (including DVDs and PS2 games) or damage to the villa (the villa owners’ Management Company will be sole arbiter on cause of damage or loss).

- to take good care of the villa and leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the holiday.

- to report any damage or loss immediately it is discovered/occurs or any other issues of concern to the villa owners' Management Company.  Guests are trusted to report all such instances and not to hide/cover up damage/loss; it is often cheaper to resolve any issues with the Management Company whilst guests are still in the villa rather than subsequently withholding the security deposit.  

- to permit the villa owners or their agents reasonable access to the villa to carry out any maintenance as necessary.

- not to sub-let or share the villa except with persons nominated on the Booking Form.

No liability is accepted by the villa owners for loss of mains services or failure of appliances, nor for the consequences of the actions or omissions of persons who may control supply of mains services, nor any action taken in the vicinity of the property by any authority over which there is no control by the villa owners.

The villa is available from 4pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure.

The villa owners do not accept any liability for injury, damage or loss caused by any reason or for any claim made as a result of this booking and/or the subsequent holiday.  Guests are responsible for taking out adequate insurance to cover all risks.  This waiver is also applicable to all people visiting the villa whether or not on the invitation of the guests.

The villa owners do not accept any liability for injury, damage or loss caused by any reason, or for any claim made by a third party, as a consequence of actions by the guest(s) and/or other people occupying or visiting the villa for whatever reason during the period of the let in question.

The heating of the private swimming pool/spa incurs an additional fee of £80/$130 per week which will become payable if this facility is required.  Pool heat can be arranged at the time of booking/payment of the balance of the villa rental.  Alternatively, heating can be arranged upon/after arrival at the villa and the cost will be payable in US$ to the Management Company or a GB£ cheque accompanied by a valid bankers card and handed to the Management Company.  No attempt should ever be made by guests to turn on the pool heating themselves.

Guests and/or visitors use the swimming pool/spa at all times strictly at their own risk; the safety rules listed in the villa Information and Safety Book together with other such safety notices displayed in and around the villa should always be observed.

IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT GUESTS TAKE OUT ADEQUATE HOLIDAY INSURANCE TO COVER CANCELLATION FEES AND ANY OTHER LOSSES WHICH MAY OCCUR.
