About Us   

Majomi Dance Academy is a small friendly school based at the Angel Centre in Tonbridge with classes for boys and girls aged 2 ½ to adult. As a Performing Arts Academy, we offer classes in ballet, tap, modern/jazz, street, singing and drama. The emphasis in our classes is to learn in a fun and friendly environment.

All pupils are given the opportunity to learn a variety of skills that will help build confidence and stretch their imaginations. They will work as a team and as an individual, and make friends as they progress in their chosen field.

Pupils are challenged to work hard to reach their full potential and a number of past pupils have moved on to work in the West End and in television.

Examinations are optional and are open to those who wish to do so.

The keyword to our school is 'inclusion'. All pupils are welcomed and encouraged to take part in our bi-annual show regardless of age and ability.

Teachers are fully qualified and have between them a plethora of experience in stage and television productions both locally and in the West End.

The pupils can enjoy a variety of additional activities provided by the school including entering Dance Festivals (competitions), occasional trips to see
shows/ballets both in London and locally and performing at local events.

During the school holidays MAJOMI organise dance, drama and musical theatre workshops for pupils to enjoy and build on their skills and confidence.
