We are a small charity attempting to be of support to all people with disabilities within the boundaries of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Northampton (Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and east Berkshire).

We employ two pastoral workers, Mr. John Bonner and Mrs. Angela Davies.and through their work and in co-operation with other people we hope to make an effective difference to the lives of those who live with a disability.

Please get in touch with us if you feel we can help you in any way or if you wish to support us.   Kevin O'Driscoll, Chair of Trustees

Dear Readers,
I am sending you this little prayer that was given to us by a very special lady named Judith Beare. Sometimes when I am struggling to understand why God has given us a "special child" this little prayer helps. It would be nice to think someone in a similar situation may draw strength from reading this. Regards, Sean Ballantyne.

HEAVENS  VERY SPECIAL CHILD
A meeting was held quite far from earth; "It's time again for another birth,
Said the angels to the Lord above; "This special child will need much love,
His progress may be very slow. Accomplishments he may not show.
And he'll require extra care,  from the folks he meets down there.
He may not run, or laugh or play. His thoughts may seem quite far away.
In many ways he won't adapt - and he'll be known as handicapped.
So let's be careful where he's sent, We want his life to be content.

Please Lord find the person who, will do this special job for you.
They may not realise straight away, the learning role they're asked to play,
But with this child sent from above, comes stronger faith and richer love,
And soon they'll know the privilege given.
Their precious child so meek and mild

          is  HEAVEN'S VERY SPECIAL CHILD.
