Yn ystod mis Ebrill 1993, fe drafeiliodd rhai hogiau Cymraeg i Northampton, i weld Wrecsam yn chwarae yno. Ar ol i ni ennill, ar y tren yn ol i Llundain, sylweddolodd pawb ein bod yn trafeilio milltiroedd ar ben ein hunain i weld y tim – pam na fedrwn drafeilio efo’n gilydd. Ar ol dechrau’r “Cochion Lundain” yr ydym wedi rhoi mwy na £11k o bres i’r Clwb, ag wedi cael llawer o hwyl ag yfed dipyn o gwrw!!!!!!
The London Reds was formed as a group in 1993, the first of many regional clubs for supporters of Wrexham AFC. In the time since the formation the group has provided over £11,000 in income for the football club.
The main activity of the group has been to arrange ways for exiled Wrexham fans from all over London, the South-East and further afield to get together and travel to games in the region. These days out usually involve meeting up for the train or tube journey to wherever the game is to be played and then some pre- and post-match "entertainment" in a carefully selected pub in the area. The group also arrange coach trips from London to the Racecourse and other grounds for big cup games and to the Racecourse for the last home league game of the season every year.
As a registered supporters club we have priority status for booking tickets for the big all-ticket league and cup games at home or away.
Members of London Reds have always taken a great interest in the wellbeing of the AFC and in the climate of 2004 are becoming more active in direct fundraising to help to keep the club alive
Members of the club are encouraged to join Wrexham Supporters Trust and the club works closely with the WST when deciding how to the support the club and ensure the money we raise goes to the best use.
