The name "VolksWigan" was an idea from a member back when it was just getting started This was when we used to meet at the Venture pub in Highfield, Wigan. Hence "Volks WIGAN"

VolksWigan V-Dub Clubis based in the North West of England The club has been up and running for just over 8 years now. We have members from all walks of life & age groups from all over the north west The club tries to keep any rules to a minimum as we don't want to get bogged down with club politics etc We don't have members with titles such as chairman, vice chairman etc We do have members who look after / sort out different aspects of the club and everyone in the club is welcome to come up with ideas and to put them into action
We are an air cooled only club
but don't worry if your bug or bus etc is off the road for whatever reason or maybe you've not yet bought a V-Dub, still come along If it’s a watch and rust or a full on show and shine your all welcome at our club. We look forward to meeting you and your V-Dub.
