on here you will find all sorts of information about us,
what we have done, what we get up and news of what we have planned for the near future
We have our own forum, which is handy for getting advice/help for your V-Dub
selling or buying cars/parts and just keeping in touch between meets,
It just takes a few minutes to register in order to post messages.
There thousands of photos from shows & meets, members V-Dubs and projects
and also our video clips collection is building up nicely too

About VolksWigan
We are an air-cooled Volkswagen club currently based in Orrell, Wigan
and have been up and running since October 1999
Originally started by Paul Wigan, you can read about
how it came about here
Although based in Wigan we have attracted many members from right across the northwest,
all eager to join our fun loving and family friendly informally run club.
VolksWigan are also the guys behind the Volkswagen camping festival
"Gathering Off The Hill" AKA Goth. 2008 see's the event in its 6th year.
As well as attending and camping at VW shows throughout the UK we also
have our own club outings such as bowling nights, go karting, cinema, go for lunch, sight seeing, local cruise

Some other info
Over the years some of VolksWigan's V-Dub's have been filmed for and including: Under The Mud, Used Car Heaven, The Beetle Bug, Shameless, Cutting It, and Life On Mars.
If you would like to hire one of our members V-Dubs for your wedding film production, photo shoot or other promotional event please contact us to see if it is possible.
We often take part in the Club Display competitions at some VW shows, we won the title of "Best Club Display" at the All Types VW show for 4 years in a row and have also won at Bus Types and Deva Dubs & Rods.
VolksWigan's current home, The Mount is our 5th.
We started at The Venture in Highfield, Wigan, then we moved to The Prince William on Ashurst Beacon before moving just down the road a little to the Beacon Golf Club and then on to the Abbey Lakes.

How to join
Joining is very straight forward
Fill in the membership with some basic info
Pass it to Simber along with your joining fee which is currently
£15 for couples and £10 for single members per year
Joining is done in person only but
before you hand over your cash
please come to a few meetings so that
we get to know each other a little and
to make sure you are happy with the club.
