Traditionally, weaponry and unarmed combat was taught side by side, two sides of the coin so to speak. Over the last 2 years Chikara has been developing a weapons syllabus in addition to regular karate training. Kobudo training will be in addition to the normal training and will require students to have attained at least 8th kyu or have completed a minimum of 8 months karate training. Juniors will be allowed to train at the discretion of the chief instructor. You do not need to be a full member of Chikara to participate but you must hold a current Martial Arts licence and personal insurance. If you do not have one a Chikara can arrange this for you. Training sessions
(Seminars) are held between 10:00 - 11:30am on specific Sundays (see Diary).
Kobudo kata books are now available.
£10 each (please see Sensei Young)
