Transport
Air
The nearest airport is Rodez - which is an hour's drive away. There is a daily service from Stansted operated by Ryanair. There are also three Air France flights a day to and from Paris, and a couple to and from Lyon as well. All the major car hire firms have offices at Rodez Airport.
Toulouse airport is about 90 minutes' drive away by autoroute. British Airways fly several times a day from Gatwick, and Air France fly from Paris.
Bergerac - another Ryanair destination - is also about 90 minutes away.
Road
The A20 motorway is about 20 miles away, so the house can be reached easily in a day from the ferry or tunnel at Calais, or you could have a leisurely drive down and include a stop over somewhere like Orleans or Limoges.
Rail
SNCF trains run to Cahors or Figeac from Gare Austerlitz in Paris. They connect with the Bus du Lot which has replaced several local railway lines.
Bus
A bus service runs between Cahors and Figeac, via Cajarc several times a day.
