THE RECLINERS ARE MADE FROM MAPLE WOOD, WHICH IS A HARD WOOD it is then KILN DRIED AND EXTREMELY ROBUST. And are manufactured in America by Electric Mobility, so they are not the cheaper recliners you can get that are imported from the Far East.
