Apart from therapy, I offer a range of training, development and consultancy services to individuals and groups, either personally or in collaboration with highly qualified and experienced associates.

clinical supervision

For counsellors and psychotherapists – supervision of clinical practice, one to one or in groups.

personal development groups

For NHS primary care or similar client groups – time-limited (typically 6 to 10 sessions) issue-based programmes. Issues may include anxiety, anger or stress management, assertiveness and confidence-building, work/life balance or similar.

personal development workshops

For health and social care professionals – workshops tailored to the needs of a particular team or other group. These can be issue, outcome or process-based. They may be arranged as one-day events (Fridays) or over a number of sessions.

counselling skills training

For professionals in healthcare or similar organisations – short (1 or 2 days) training courses, either one-to-one or in groups, in counselling and related communication skills.

mentoring and non-managerial supervision

For team-leaders working in health and social care settings, particularly where organisational constraints place limits on the quantity or quality of managerial support otherwise available.

group facilitation and team building

For organisations setting up, merging or reforming teams, to facilitate optimum motivation of members and overall functioning of the group. Also facilitation of group process in strategic planning, meeting effectiveness and other areas. May be arranged as one-off or as a series of events, with or without follow-up.

academic coaching

For trainee therapists – help with accreditation and other academic submissions. One-to-one tutorial mode, by email or combination.

consultancy

Consultancy services on a wide range of issues to do with clinical practice in mental health, particularly in the setting up of clinical practice frameworks and protocols at team level.
