The village of Poughill (pronounced Poffil) is one of the prettiest in North Cornwall, with its thatched cottages, old houses and church erupting out of the community. Only a mile from the sea at Northcott Mouth, it has become a popular place for holidaymakers staying in nearby Bude. Recent building means that the boundaries between the communities of Bude, Stratton and Poughill which used to be green fields only twenty-five years ago, are now blurred, but Poughill remains a welcoming, friendly place with a strong sense of its own identity and a historic interesting church well worth a visit.
Every Sunday there are services in the church
8 am - Holy Communion
11 am - Morning Worship
(and something for the children at the same time)
6 pm - Evening Praise
Coming in March - a whole lot of special events for Love Cornwall 2008
