1970-1971 1-9 Muspole Street (Grade II) - row of weavers' cottages, restored then leased to University of East Anglia as married student accommodation providing nine self-contained flats and bed-sits. In 1994 lease to University ended and properties reverted to the Trust and were sold on open market on 125 year leases primarily to first time buyers. 1972-1973 90-108 Oak Street (Grade II) - row of houses dating from 16th Century - one of the properties acquired from the Norwich Society - restored then leased to the University of East Anglia as married accomodation providing eleven self-contained flats. The university surrendered it's lease in 1983 and after major repairs to the gable wall, the trust sold the houses to a single investor in 1984 who upgraded the flats and sold them on long leases to individual purchasers. |

1971-1974 Queen Anne Yard, Colgate (Grade II) group of medieval cottages, a derelict site and a Regency building. Restored with new building incorporated on the vacant site to provide four houses and one flat, a lock-up shop and the Regency property as an office building fronting Duke Street. The dwellings were originally let by the Trust but all of the houses, the flat and the office building have now been sold to private purchasers. The lock up shop is let. 1977 80-82 St Georges Street, Devereux House (Grade II) - medieval property in a very poor state of repair - restored to provide a studio/workshop with a flat over. After a variety of tenants from a viol maker to a woodcarver, it was let to a firm of architects and eventually sold to them in the late 1980's. |
