BOURNE SINGERS

Join Us

The Bourne Singers is a small and friendly chamber choir of 20-25 singers, based in Old Coulsdon.

Our members are drawn from South London, Caterham, Chaldon, Godstone, Lingfield, Oxted, and other parts of Surrey.

We are currently recruiting sopranos and tenors. Members are expected to have some sight reading ability.

If you are interested in joining the Bourne Singers, or performing as an instrumentalist, please contact the Hon. Secretary on 01883 712713

Ian le Grice, recitalist, teacher, conductor and accompanist has featured in many of our concerts, and continues to do so.

Talented local instrumentalists have performed at concerts including a harpist who subsequently came second in the BBC Young Musician of the Year.  In 2006, the 13 year old Takeru Kumon, violinist, gave a stunning performance at our October concert.

Three regular Concerts are performed each year, in Spring, Summer and Autumn. A Christmas Concert completes our season. Our repertoire includes accompanied works as well as a cappella singing and we usually draw on our own members for solo work.

When and Where do we rehearse?

Fridays at 8pm at the Congregational Church, Coulsdon Road, Old Coulsdon CR5 1EH - which is near St John the Evangelist.
