was formed in response to the amount of interest expressed in the Parish Plan survey for such a club.

It was  evident that there are many keen gardeners in the area who felt that they would benefit from the additional help and advice that comes from meeting others of the same mind.

The club meets monthly except for August and December. Membership subscription will be £12 per year and club membership will be open to anyone living in the Parish of Hawkesbury and the surrounding areas.

Visitors and guests are charged £2 per meeting and will be allowed to attend 3 meetings per year. If they wish to attend more meetings then they will be expected to join the club. Entrance fees paid up until that time will be deducted from the full years membership subscription.

We had our Official Launch Meeting on 23^rd June 2008 when some 45 people turned up for the evening which was a very pleasant surprise.

For this special occasion Deb Pidsley made the lovely celebration cake shown above and John Walker, a local landscape gardener, generously donated a dozen bottles of sparkling wine. Many thanks to you both.

Our May meeting is on Monday 22nd June 2009 when our Speaker Mr. T. Sanday will regale us about Rose Care, Pruning and History. This will also be our AGM.
