An
invitation
Christine and Charles Taylor invite you to their gorgeous
Granite barn in West Cornwall for Bed and Breakfast. Tucked
just below the skyline, above the peaceful village of Perranuthnoe,
the captivating views over Mounts Bay, St Michael’s
Mount, Penzance, Newlyn and Mousehole make Ednovean Farm
a wonderful centre for a Holiday or a very special place
for a short break.
“Ednovean Farm still whispers
it’s
history.”
Our 17 century barn has been carefully renovated using locally
sourced materials, slowly over a period of time, never rushing,
to capture the warm, ancient,
character of the barns heart. Now from the slate flagged hall to the dramatic
Dining Dining Room beneath the exposed roof timbers of the upper floor Ednovean
Farm offers Bed and Breakfast in an unusual home………... Stylish
yet relaxed, and just oozing country character.
...romantic bedrooms
We offer three luxuriously, romantic bedrooms. Our
delightful Pink Room has a hand carved, four poster Bed,
in the main farmhouse - whilst the Elegant Blue
Room (with fantastic sea veiws), and secluded Apricot Rooms,
are in a separate wing, each with French doors on to private
terraces. All have been stylishly decorated with antique
furniture, patchwork quilts, lovely fabrics and fresh flowers
opening to en suite Bathrooms sport Roll top and Slipper
Baths, Fluffy Bathrobes and Hand made soap.
...private
moments
Guests
have their own sitting room, alive with jewel like colors
- the squashy sofas and embroidered silk wall hangings offer
a cosy retreat in Winter to enjoy a complementary glass of
Sherry; whilst a pretty, Meditteranean style, Summer Garden
room, at the bottom of the Courtyard, opens out on to a Terrace
with stunning views of the sea. Here the
ever changing light sweeps the towns and villages across
the bay or dances on the turrets of St Michael’s Mount.
The rhythmic murmur of the sea seems loudest here to spend
precious moments away from the world.
...Our
Garden
Set
on a natural terrace above the magestic sweep of Mounts Bay, our lawns
lead to an Italian Garden of secluded enclosures and elegant
statues – the formal vistas
giving way to the winding paths of the gravel garden, in
turn reaching the Olive trees at the very end. Extending
to over an acre they are the perfect place to wander after
a busy day, always within sight of the magical St Micheal’s
Mount.
...and
now Breakfast
Breakfast
brings guests to our long Oak Refectory table, lit by candles
in winter, and with the stable door flung open to bathe the
room in shafts of sunlight in Summer. Perhaps
today for Freshly stewed fruits, Organic Yogurt. Muesli, Locally
smoked kippers or Full English Breakfast accompanied by Local
Breads, Chunky Marmalade or fruit Conserve, or maybe freshly
warmed Croissants. Perhaps tomorrow they may order
a Continental Breakfast to be delivered to their room or
to carry a tray to a lush hidden corner in the garden.
...little
pleasures!
For the
Bedroom there are fresh flowers, Cornish Spring Water, Wine
Glasses, a Corkscrew, Colour television, clock radio, C.D.
player and a hair dryer - a trolley holds a pretty tea set
and a selection of teas coffees and Biscuits. For
the Bathroom fluffy Bathrobes, bubble bath, moisturiser,
shampoo and locally, hand made soap.
