What is CultMark UK ?

CultMark UK is a project which aims to promote interest in and usage of the canals in Chester and Ellesmere Port for leisure and pleasure!

What will CultMark UK do?

• Increase interest in the heritage of our canals, especially our Industrial past
• Increase awareness of the many possible leisure activities which are based on and around our canals
• Promote regeneration of the canal and surrounding areas
• Stage a major Canal Festival in September 2005
• Create a website to celebrate our canal heritage and serve as a focal point for information about our local canal area
• Produce a CD-Rom celebrating our canal heritage to be distributed to local schools
