The Algarve is very popular with walkers, especially between October and March. Walking routes vary from cliff walks to hill and mountain or country lanes and quite roads. There is something for everyone’s taste and level of fitness.

A number of walking guides are available to buy locally, we are also happy to lend you ours. There are organised walks from various locations and guests can join these without advance booking.

Why not leave the car behind for a day, and take one of the walks that start outside our gate? Amongst them is a lovely three hour circular walk to the barragem da Arade (resevoir). We have written guidelines to help you find your way.
