Apart from the many glorious beaches, there are lots of other activities for children and families. Zoomarine, near Guia, is a superb ocean theme park, reputedly the best in Southern Europe. It is a centre of entertainment and of education for adults and children alike. Through out the day there are different shows with dolphins, seals, sharks, penguins and a variety of birds.

Slide and Splash in Lagoa and Aqualand near Alcantarilha are both only fifteen minutes drive from Duas Quintas. These two large water parks guarantee thrills and fun for all the family. A great day out!

The largest zoo on the Algarve is at Barao Sao Joao, near Lagos. Close to Duas Quintas, Krazyworld, best suited to younger children, has a small number of exotic animals and a petting zoo with llamas, deer and wallabies.
