This is the homepage of 3D Archaeological Society, a society of keen amateur archaeologists of all ages and experience.
The Society was formed from GCSE, AS & A2 students who were
studying archaeology at evening classes in Harrogate and who wanted to
further there knowledge and practical experience in the subject.
Since the demise of adult education in subjects such as archaeology,
the society has endeavoured to educate and enhance the knowledge of the
membership through field work, talks each month by experienced and
expert guest speakers and by a programme of visits and outings to sites
and events of archaeological and historical interest.
The society meets every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7pm for a 7.30
start in The Granary at The Knox Arms on Knox Lane in Harrogate. The
evenings are a mixture of education and entertainment from our guest
speakers and a social event for the membership and guests.
3D Archaeological Society welcomes all prospective members whatever
their level of skills or interest in the fascinating subject of
archaeology, so why not come along to one of our meetings and see what
we are about?
