Our CV!

A bit about us:

She started ballet when she was 5 years old and stopped at 16 to start karate (she's brown belt now, so men be careful...). She is now back into ballet in order to help her tango. Loyd is a musician and trained in kung fu and recently be selected to perform in West Side Story at Stratford. We started tango in 2003 and since then have been travelling every year all over England, Europe and, of course, Buenos Aires to dance and take classes with the best meastros in the world in order to continuously improve and give the best to our students.

What do we do?

We specialise, dance, learn and teach Tango Salon style: all our classes focus on tango technique, embrace, posture, foot placement, walking and of course the music! So you can all dance with elegence on the music in the milongas no matter how crowded they are and how long you've been dancing! We have been invited to various tango clubs in the UK and have performed in some of them. We have also been invited to perform at the NEC in April 2008.

Our Maestros:

Our maestros are Javier Rodriguez y Andrea Misse, the current most famous tango salon dancers and teachers accross the world... We follow them every year all over Europe... and in Buenos Aires!

We travel through the main tango festivals in Europe, and Argentina to learn, dance and enjoy tango life (yes we hate sleeping and resting, and love expressos and 2 hours naps :-)).

The list of teachers we have taken classes with include (in no particular order):

Jorge Dispari y Marita Del Carmen (la Turca), Giraldo Escobar, Juan Manuel Acosta y Kicca Tomassi, Julio Balmacena y Corina de la Rosa, Gabriel Misse y Alejandra Martinan, Milena Plebs, Esteban Moreno y Claudia Codega, Claudia Jacobsen...
