Y Deuddegfed Dyn - The Twelfth Man

The idea for Deuddegfed Dyn started in May 2007 on the Wrexham FC message board Red Passion. A poll was posted stating the question “Would an ultras group at Wrexham be a good idea?” The option yes was voted for in massive favour, thus a message board was setup for the “Wrexham Ultras” to discuss matters about the group, and here we are. Basically DD are a group of fans hoping to develop the match day experience at the Racecourse in to a truly memorable one. We will be flying flags, displaying banners and filling the ground with red. We will be making as much noise as is possible, generally trying to turn every game into a carnival and hopefully bring out the best in the team.

The group has got the complete backing of the club, but will remain independent, and is also looking to bring the Cambria Band in to the project. We have been told that we can hang flags from the roof of the Eric Roberts Builder’s Stand, on both sides of the scoreboard, and will be looking to do so. We hope to build up a vocal section of the ground, where the carnival atmosphere will be hosted and where our group will be located, while still involving all other areas in the groups work. Some aims of Deuddegfed Dyn include:

  1. To create as much colour, at home and away, as possible using flags, banners, balloons etc.
  2. To make us much noise as possible and to not stop singing throughout the whole match.
  3. To enhance the fans songbook to contain more songs to sing at matches.

  4. To get as many people as possible to join in with the atmosphere on match day.

We are encouraging all supporters of Wrexham FC to get involved with Deuddegfed Dyn and try and get the best from the team using the “Twelfth Man”.
