Meet at the Saracens Head car park at 8pm for some Map and
compass training. finish by 9:45pm
Because so may got lost on the
Orienteering evening we have added in an extra evening to practise map and
compass skills.
Gold DofE group will meet at the Church Hall to be assesed for
their hike by an external assesor.

Bronze Duke of
Edinburgh Award - Presentation
to parents
Parents are invited at 9:15pm for a presentation by
the Bronze DofE hike groups.
Leaders will
be in the hall from 8pm to help set up presentations.
Reminder:-
Each group will make a 10 minute
presentation on the hike, and each member of the group will be expected to
provide a contribution to the presentation.
The talk will
cover:
1) Personal equipment for the hike
2) Group equipment for the
hike
3) Food and cooking on the hike
4) Route planning
Each of
these topics should be covered by a different member of the group,plus
5) Challenges of following the route plans in the Shropshire hills, which
everyone will contribute to.
In addition the group who had 5 members will also
cover 6) First Aid precautions for hill walking.
These topics were allocated last Tuesday.
A computer projector will be available for the
presentation. All presentations should use powerpoint slides. These must
be saved as version 2003 of powerpoint! (click on SAVE AS and select file
type of "powerpoint 2003 or ealier"
