WOODCRAFT PRESS BOOKS

The Gardens of STOWE
At present STOWE in Buckinghamshire is occupying my attention. The National Trust Gardens contain an enormous number of follies and grottoes which the Trust is now restoring. For several years I have thought that paintings of them with modern figures in the foreground would form an interesting series. In my new book of linocuts which I propose printing in the Summer of 2006 there will be views of these temples combined with well known paintings by Matisse, Monet and Renoir. The text will be an 18th Century poem by Gilbert West where he muses on the literary and historical connections to each vista.

- Coming soon - July 2006 ?
- already over 1 year in the making!
- printed - now being bound.
