Welcome to the web page of MI0BPB

Hello my name is Andrew Mulholland and I live near Banbridge Co Down Northern Ireland and I have been a 'ham' since1997. I am a member of the Lagan Valley Amateur Radio Society, based is Lisburn.

Over the weekend of 18th August 2007 we visited Sanda Island south of the Mull of Kintyre and operated as GM4GTY over the international lighthouse weekend. See links to the left.

The station set-up is a Yaesu FT920, to a Cushcraft A4S beam on a crank up mast for HF.

I also have an Elecraft K1 for QRP operation.

For 2meters and 70 cm I have an FT857 to a Watson dual bander.

I am active on SSB, CW, and the Digital modes.

Even though we are quite a small radio club we are quite active and take part in VHF field every year, and operated from a few lighthouses, including the Mull of Kintyre lighthouse.

My thoughts on a few pieces of radio equipment I own.
