This is an Advanced Workshop suitable for those who are proficient dancers or who have already attended one or more of our intermediate workshops
#1 - Dance to Dazzle, #2 - Enhance your Dance,
#3 - Squeeze to Please and #4 - Hot Moves and would like to join the 'Swing Kids'. As a special treat this Workshop will be given by Christine Von Scheidt, local, national and worldwide Lindy Hop 'celebrity'.
Christine has been dancing many styles since she was 15, including Standard, Jazz, Salsa, Tap, Rock'n'Roll and Ceroc (which she also taught in London for 2 years) In 1995 she began dancing Boogie Woogie and Lindy Hop. Apart from various appearances with Showdance groups she placed 3rd in the UK Jive Championships in 1997 with her then partner Simon Selmon, her first tournament success.
Christine began dancing with Harold Gaertner in 1999 and together they placed 7th at the 1999 Lindy Hop World Championship in New York, 6th at the 2000 Lindy Hop World Championship in Munich and were the 2000 Lindy Hop German Champions. She has made numerous TV appearances (e.g. NBC "Today Show" in New York, Swing Special, tv-Munich 1999, SAT3-2000). In recent years she has concentrated on the promotion of Lindy Hop and the training of competition pairs. In November she will be one of the judges for the 2004 Lindy Hop World Championship in France.
Christine regularly teaches Lindy Hop in Munich with the Boogie Bears Swing Dance Club. Additionally she participates in the full range of Social Dancing and regularly publishes one of the most comprehensive dance meeting lists in Germany.

The aim of the workshop is to teach the technique and styling points of the following Lindy Hop figures:
Lindy Turn
Lindy Circle
Swing out from open position
Swing out from closed position
Charleston
Heels
The workshop will also cover the techniques of Leading (for the boys) and Following (for the girls).
You should now consider attending one or more of our other advanced workshops #1 - Drops, Jumps and Lifts or #3 - Double Trouble.

And don't worry if you don't have a partner, as we ensure that there are equal numbers of boys and girls and that we mix everyone up so that all the boys dance with all the girls (and vice-versa). However, if you do have a partner, and you would like to stay together during the workshop, then that's fine also!
