Painter and Illustrator
A Potted History
I obtained a degree in illustration from Anglia Polytechnic University, Cambridge
in 1994 and have since continued to live and work in Cambridge.
My work has been exhibited in galleries in Cambridge, Oxford, Norwich and
the Garden Gallery in Southwold. I also work as a freelance illustrator and
undertake private commissions, including, a commissions for schools in and
around Cambridge and Suffolk.
My paintings, drawings and illustrations have largely draw their inspiration
from books, short stories and poetry However more recently I have begun to
explore more general themes.
I teach Art & Design, part time, at Cambridge Regional College, and am
a visiting lecturer at Bedford College as well as teaching evening classes
in Life drawing at Hills road 6th form college. More recently I have undertaken
an MA at Anglia Polytechnic University in children's book illustration.

I am married to Rachel a music teacher and we have two daughters, Jocelyn
who is nine and Tess who is four.
