What is Modern Jive ?
Modern Jive is a kind
of a cross between
50's style Rock 'n' Roll
and the latin type dances.
Anyone can join in, and
although it is a partner dance
you do not need to arrive with
a partner, since during the
classes everyone 'rotates', so as
to dance with various people,
rather than just
one...
The spirit of a DanceJive evening is to dance with many different people. This not only helps you learn quicker, but also means you meet and get to know lots of new people.
Other names used for 'Modern Jive' include Ceroc, French Jive, Leroc, LeJive, SwingRoc and many others.
These, along with 'DanceJive' are simply brandnames for one of the most fun ways known to man(and woman!) to spend an evening, and keep fit !!!.
