Velocity was formed from the ashes of the famous Falcons Club in 1999, and started with 3 athletes, 2 coaches and 2 assistants.

Since the clubs first AGM in 1999 it has gone from strength to strength with an increase in athletes to 7. Success has come to the club in many events including 2 members being in the GB team for the World Championships in Line in 2002 and beyond. Also the first and second place in the 2002 London Marathon came from the club, as did the third female finisher.

Other success in many races is mainly due to the coaching and encouragement of two of the finest coaches Jenny Archer and Chris Parsloe. The club has to consolidate it's success of the past and work towards even greater achievements in the future, which we are sure to achieve with hard training combined with team spirit and camaraderie.
