Carolake Hide And Seek JW

a natural showgirl

Linoaks Highasakite ex Stanroph Endelwood Natasha JW, SGWC, ShCM
DOB 5 May 2006

Carolake Hide And Seek (Heidi) has got off to a good start in 2008. Placed 3rd at Manchester and 5th at Crufts, she has also had several firsts, a Best of Breed and a Group placing at Open Shows. At the Isle of Wight Gundog Club Open Show in March she won her class, went Best of Breed and then Best In Show. At the same show last year she was Best Puppy In Show.

Southern Golden Retriever Society have awarded her the Scotangus Of Mossburn Annual Trophy, beating the opposition by a couple of hundred points. Nina, Heidi's dam, won this trophy twice during her open show career.

2007 - Heidi had a spectacular year in the ring. She won at the highest level all through the year, gaining her Junior Warrant at just 12 1/2 months - even sooner than her mother. She won three Best Puppy in Show at Mid Western Gundog Society, Isle of Wight Gundog Society and Northern Golden Retriever Association. She had countless other placings during the year, winning when I least expected her too - she has had many glowing critiques in the dog press and I thank all the judges who thought so highly of her. She is a noisy addition to my household, but has not one ounce of malice in her and has even shown a little inclination to retrieve, which I plan to work on... She had October and November off and helped amuse the litter of puppies when Nina wanted a break. She bounced back into the show ring in December and still loves being the centre of attention.

2006 - Heidi was doted on by her resident “aunties” and her devoted mother. An exuberant, confident pup with not a care in the world, she grew into a natural show girl, brimming with personality and more than happy to strut her stuff in the ring. She won her very first Minor Puppy class at Hampshire Gundog under Hilary Mell, qualified for Crufts at Midland GRC under Fiona Thurm and won two 2nds at LKA under Freda Marshall. At City of Bristol on the 10th December under Mrs D Smillie Heidi and Fancy did the double by taking BP and BOB, Heidi went on to win Gundog Puppy Group 2 under Mr Paul Woodland. She has also had 1sts under Gordon Kipps and Linda Bennett. At Boston she was 5th in Puppy under Tony Hird and at Manchester she took Reserve in the Pup of the Year Stakes.
