TRANSVAAL STUDY CIRCLE



Affiliated to the Association of British Philatelic Societies and The Philatelic Federation of Southern Africa

Founded on 13th November 1965, the Study Circle is enjoying over forty years of shared research.

Aims of the Transvaal Study Circle:

To study and promote the stamps and postal history of the Transvaal / South African Republic which includes New Republic, Stellaland, Goshen, Pietersburg and early Swaziland.

Membership and Journal:

The membership is scattered around the world, with strong groups concentrated in South Africa and North America as well as in the UK. The quarterly journal, The Transvaal Philatelist, is issued free to members. Membership is £10 per annum, which can also be paid in Rand to our South African representative and in US or Canadian dollars to our North American representative.     The August 2008 edition (40 pages + map) of The Transvaal Philatelist will be published and despatched on the 22nd August to Study Circle members and libraries.
