Nathan and Rachel invite you to stay at Chez Arête, a 250 year old traditional French home, situated in the charming hamlet of Puyrial, Monsec, just 0.5 km from the village of Beauséjour; a home where you can relax and enjoy the beauty of the Dordogne.  Chez Arête is an inviting and traditional holiday home in the heart of the Périgord Vert, close to Brantôme which is only 10 kms away ~ the Venice of the Dordogne!  Mareuil-sur-Belle, just 8 kms away, has a wide range of shops, including a supermarket, several boulangeries, newsagent, wine merchant, post office and bars.  

Monsec is close to the vineyards of Bergerac including the Pécharmant vineyards.  We are within an easy drive to some of the most beautiful parts of the Dordogne which is at its best particularly in spring and early summer.  The days are still long and warm in September and October.  Chez Arête is only two hours drive from La Rochelle and is in the heart of the Périgord/Limousin National Park which has an abundance of lakes, châteaux and wonderful forest trails for walking and cycling.  Discover places like Sarlat and the amazing prehistoric caves of Les Eyzies de Tayac, the fortified hill town of Angoulême, or the great châteaux of Beynac, Castelnaud and Le Buge.
