Founded in 1977 by Andrew Mogrelia the Leamington Chamber Orchestra is a high quality amateur orchestra performing in Leamington Spa.  The orchestra has a varied repertoire and is particularly keen to promote and perform lesser known pieces, and 20th Century works including commissions. 

Concerts are held three times a year and give local amateur musicians an opportunity to fulfil their playing potential playing interesting music to high standard and working with eminent musicians. 

The orchestra is keen to promote young soloists particularly those with a local connection.   Recent concerto soloists have included Helen Powell and Anne Bradley, both now freelance professionals who were brought up in the area.

Other recent soloists have included Alan Hacker (clarinet) who premiered a concerto by Keith Beal, Adrian Bradbury (cello), Andrew Gough (guitar), Gina McCormack (violin) and Eleanor Turner (Harp).
