MUSIC SECTION 2008

Adjudicator: Gareth Green, MA(Oxon), MA(Leeds), FRCO(CHM), FLCM, ARCM    Music Secretary: Position Vacant

These classes will be held between Wednesday 9th April and Friday 11th April 2008 from 4.00pm each evening and on Saturday 12th April 2008 at St. Margaret's Hall, Horsforth.

1.  The closing date for entries is 1st February 2008. Early entries would be appreciated.

2.  For "own choice" classes, please send details of pieces to the music secretary at least two weeks before the festival.

3.  Copies of "own choice" music for the adjudicator may be sent to the music secretary, or handled in at her desk not less than fifteen minutes before the class begins. Please note that the only photocopies allowed are those taken from volumes.

4.  When the services of the official accompanist have been requested, they must be used.

Copies of "own choice" music for the official accompanist should be sent with the entry.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND PHOTOCOPIES

Songs must be sung in the key of the copy provided.

5.  Entry forms, together with fees and a stamped addressed envelope for the return of competitors’ tickets, should be sent to the Music Entries Secretary: -

Entry Fees:   Solo - £4.00    Duets and Trios - £5.00

 Ensembles, including choirs, orchestras etc - £7.00
