DANCE - ADJUDICATOR 2008

Gayle Johnson, FIDTA, FBATD, RAD(MRT)

Gayle Johnson is experienced and well qualified within the festival world. As a British Federation adjudicator and examiner, Gayle has adjudicated, examined and lectured for many associations, both at home and abroad, for the past 20 years. As an active member of the SDCI and various other technical committees, her choreographic skills have had major input into new examination grades for syllabi.

As a child she successfully competed in many dance festivals and made several appearances on TV and in pantomimes. At the age of 17 she joined a professional international speciality act working in the UK and abroad. In 1982 Gayle opened her own school offering all genres of stage dance and has stayed actively involved, thus making her aware of the ever changing youth of today.

Over the years, students have successfully entered TV work including commercials and at present are professionally working within the Ballet Rambert Company and London theatre productions. Her dedication and encouragement ensures continuous professional development to keep up with challenging but exciting times.
