Psychosexual Therapy
I work with a wide range of sexual problems in my psychosexual practice.
Many clients experience specific physical difficulties which have a psychological origin.
For women, inability to allow penetration; pain or discomfort on intercourse; difficulties with orgasm.
For men, erectile insufficiency, ejaculation problems ( premature or retarded) painful intercourse.
Lack of sexual desire for either or both partners is also a frequent presenting problem.
When the sexual problem has a physical manifestation I will always ask clients to have a medical check before commencing therapy.
In addition to therapeutic conversations about the difficulties experienced, a programme of psychosexual therapy will involve behavioural exercises to complete at home and discuss in weekly therapy sessions.
